Frequently Asked Questions
ID card or Mifare (MF) card, which should I choose?
ID card (125 kHz) is the common, lower-cost option for simple attendance. Mifare card (13.56 MHz) is harder to copy, and the same card can also be used for door access, lifts or the canteen. SenseFace 2A, 4A and 7A come in both versions; MB40 WiFi is ID card only.
Do the terminals have WiFi?
Yes. All SenseFace models we supply and the MB40 WiFi have built-in WiFi, so you don’t need to run a network cable to the device.
Can staff punch in using their phone?
Yes. With ZLink mobile punch card, staff can clock in and out from their own phone with location check.
Can one system cover several branches?
Yes. Both ZKBioTime and ZLink support multiple branches, so HR can see attendance for every location in one place.
Can I export attendance reports?
Yes. Attendance, shift and overtime reports can be exported to Excel for your HR team.
Can the same device control the door as well?
Yes. SenseFace 2A, 4A and 7A also work with CVAccess software for access control, so one device can handle both attendance and door access.
Can these terminals be used outdoors?
No. SenseFace 2A, 4A, 7A and MB40 are for indoor use. For outdoor doors and gates, ask us about suitable ZKTeco readers.
Do you supply to Sabah and Sarawak?
Yes. VSH Technology has a branch in Penampang, Sabah and supplies customers across East Malaysia.
