Face recognition on the SenseFace series works from 30 cm to 2 m and verifies a face in under 0.35 seconds, so staff can clock in without stopping or touching the device.
How to choose?
1. How many staff will use it?
Under 100 staff fits any model. Between a few hundred and a few thousand, the SenseFace 4A gives more room to grow. Large factories, campuses and multi-shift sites should look at the SenseFace 7A, which stores up to 50,000 users.
2. Attendance only, or door access too?
For attendance only, the SenseFace 2A or MB40 WiFi keeps cost down. If the terminal will also open a door, the SenseFace 2A, 4A and 7A connect directly to an electric lock, door sensor and exit button. The 4A and 7A also work with ZKTeco swing and flap barrier turnstiles for lobby entrances.
3. Where will it be installed?
All four models are for indoor use: inside the office, at a lobby or behind the main glass door. The SenseFace 4A and 7A carry an IP65 rating, which protects them from dust, splashes and humidity indoors, such as factory floors or entrances near a door. IP65 does not make them suitable for outdoor gates exposed to rain and direct sun. For those sites, ask us for an outdoor-rated option.
4. WiFi or LAN cable? Cloud or PC?
If running a network cable is difficult, choose a WiFi version. If you want to check attendance from your phone without a dedicated PC, use ZKBio Zlink (cloud). For larger companies that want reports on their own server, use ZKBio Time or ZKBio CVAccess.

What is the difference between SenseFace 4A and 7A?
Both have touch screens, fingerprint and video intercom. The 7A has a larger 7″ screen and holds 10,000 faces and 50,000 cards (50,000 faces on the big-capacity version), versus 6,000 faces on the 4A.
The SenseFace 4A and 7A are IP65. Can they be installed outdoors?
No. IP65 protects the 4A and 7A against dust and water splashes, but all four models are designed for indoor installation only. Direct rain and sunlight can affect the screen and face recognition. For outdoor gates, WhatsApp us and we will recommend a suitable option.
Do all models have a WiFi version?
Yes. The SenseFace 2A, 4A and 7A each come in a WiFi version, and the MB40 has WiFi built in.
Do I need a computer to use these terminals?
Not necessarily. With ZKBio Zlink cloud software you can view attendance from a web portal or mobile app. ZKBio Time and ZKBio CVAccess are installed on your own PC or server.
Do SenseFace terminals work with turnstiles?
